Closed Circuit Rebreather

Rebreather diving offers many advantages to those who are disciplined in their approach to diving. To start with, the peace of silent diving has to be experienced to be understood. Becoming a part of the environment rather than a noisy interloper, it changes from you going to look at fish to the fish coming to look at you, a true game-changer for photo and video lovers.

Once you progress to Helium based diving, the savings in gas costs are quite remarkable, up to 90%.

There are physiological advantages as well. Longer NDL on the same dives, warm moist gas makes cotton-mouth a thing of the past. Rebreathers have long had a (often deserved) reputation of being dangerous machines but the modern units have addressed all those issues and none more so than the Poseidon CCR.

It does takes time to become acquainted with the requirements of safe CCR diving, but once you do, life becomes simple. DRDS will guide you through this process as you become familiar with the machine and the use of checklists, until you achieve your goal of silent Zen diving.

CCR DIVER

The CCR Diver Course is your introduction to closed circuit rebreather diving. Upon completion of this course you will be certified to dive to a depth of 30m using an air diluent within the NDL limits. At DRDS we specialize in rebreather diving using the Poseidon MKVI and Se7en machines.
