The DRDS Difference

We believe in starting with the end in mind. This is why all inquiries about training or gear begin with a conversation. Your background in life and in diving are as important as your goals for diving and the type of diving you want to explore in the future.

We do NOT sell cards! We help you to be safe and effective in your pursuit of the freedom and joy that diving into the blue brings. Your diving wants, needs and goals determine if a course or series of courses is right for you or if one of our specialized mentoring workshops better fits your needs. Your training progression is built around your schedule, your needs, your life and your wallet.

As an individual, why should you dive mass-produced courses? We believe in small courses with ratios of no more than two students per instructor. This allows you more time with the instructor to focus on the betterment of your diving. However we can adapt to a max of 4 to 1 for families or friends with similar goals in mind.

DRDS does not sell courses to push gear sales or push gear sales to make manufacturers happy. We provide equipment we believe in and training to your requirements, helping you achieve your diving goals, whatever they may be.

ALL our training is conducted neutrally buoyant and we will only certify students once we and they are happy that their objectives have been achieved.

The last difference is we are not here to build a customer base, we are building a like-minded dive community. Once you have completed training with us, we would like to add you to our social groups as well. Diving unites us and allows us to meet people we may not typically meet in our daily lives. As a friend of DRDS and a former student, you are always welcome to come join us on any dive trips or social gatherings we put together.

Agencies and Courses

We train under the auspices of several agencies, including RAID, NAUI, SNSI and PADI since we do not believe in the cookie cutter approach to dive training prevalent in the industry.

DRDS offers training from Junior Open Water Diver right up to Trimix Instructor, both in Open Circuit and Closed Circuit Rebreather. We also specialize in Sidemount training.
